Between aggressive EV manufacturing incentives and approved skyscraper proposals, along with a substantial growth rate, Oklahoma City appears poised and ready for a central place in this nation's rail infrastructure, both literally and figuratively. The proposed Legends Tower at the Boardwalk at Bricktown location in Oklahoma City is a site that provides for both route alignments into and out of the city and provides a central focal point where a transit station would be welcome, to integrate local, regional, and national transit.
The Station site would be just South of the proposed Legends Tower location, by virtue of its logistics attributes first, and its proximity to a substantial development effort second. Like Albuquerque and the Western Railway, Oklahoma City is central on the Redline and the Midwest Railway, providing through-lines North, South, East, and West.
As an addition to the site selection, a parcel of land directly adjacent to the station to the South, itself adjacent to the river, would provide a potential power station and/or Hydrogen station to provide a reliable supply at a central point within the system.
